Dear members of the Woodsmoke Brigade family,
Most of you are aware that Tim Mitchell passed away unexpectedly shortly before Woodsmoke Rendezvous 42.
Badleg has informed me that Laura Mitchell (Tim’s wife) has invited the members and friends of the Woodsmoke Brigade to attend the Day of Celebration for the life of Tim Mitchell on Saturday, February 18, 2023. The celebration will begin at 11:00 am and will be held at the Ma-Chis Lower Creek Indian Tribal Enterprises Office at 2950 County Road 377, Private Road 1312, Elba, AL 36323.
Tim was an important part of the Woodsmoke Brigade and truly was a living link to another time. He was skilled in so many ways: flint knapping, bow making, archery, blacksmithing, knife making, and many others. Tim lived his life and his heritage in a way that few people could even imagine, and his many contributions to the Brigade will truly be missed. I hope to see you there as we support Laura and remember Tim.

If I am able to attend, just didn’t want to arrive in modern clothes to find everyone else in “Woodsmoke attire”.
